A Divine Temple

Consumption of animal products has a major negative impact on humans and the environment. Little can be done about such barbarity while most people are ignorant of the harmful effects of eating animal products, and while the murder of animals is condoned by society.

Health is largely a reflection of diet; you are what you eat. Recent research verifies that cancer, heart problems and degenerative diseases are linked directly to an excessive intake of animal products and junk food. We are eating ourselves to slow and painful deaths.

We have no nutritional need to eat animals; this is an unnecessary murder of innocent creatures. Soon we will cease all violence towards sentient creatures; we will live in harmony with nature and with our true needs.

We will look back with disbelief at our present epidemic of self-inflicted disease, and we will shudder at our unnecessary cruelty to innocent creatures. All animals, not just human animals, have a right to freedom from violence and abuse.

An organic vegan wholefood diet is healthy for humans; it obviates the killing of animals and the squandering of water, crops, land and other vital resources that are used in raising livestock.

Veganism will allow the Earth to sustain six to ten billion people with high-quality nutrition without harming the Earth or any creature; veganism is the diet for the new dawn. Your body is a divine temple. Now it is time to start treating it as such. ~Maitreya Ishwara

...a common trap!

The inner reality of seekers is never quite as beautiful as the ideals of their tradition and they decorate their ego so it looks a little nicer. this is a common trap for many seekers and one from which it is difficult to escape. Authenticity and Playfulness are the antidote.

Truth is nothing special!

Meet yourself! Relax into What Is. Surrender to Reality. Let go of the mind. Be the Truth! Truth is nothing special. That is why, the mind does not whant it. In Zen they say that 'nothing is better than nothing.' Surrender to What Is and not to what could be. ~Anadi

Face yourself as you are

Man is the only escapist animal. The escapism has become a deep rooted mechanism in man. The same he goes on doing with psychological things. If there is fear, then rather than encountering it he goes in another direction – prays to God, asks for help. Feeling poverty, inside poverty, rather than encountering it he goes on accumulating wealth, so that he can forget that he is poor inside. Seeing that he does not know himself, rather than encountering this ignorance he goes on collecting knowledge, becomes knowledgeable, like a parrot, and goes on repeating borrowed things. These are all escapes. If you really want to encounter yourself, you will have to learn how not to escape.

Life has to be encountered. Whatsoever comes before you, you have to look into it deeply, because that same depth is going to become your self-knowledge. ~Osho

Birth and Death

Q: What is death? Is it not the falling away of the body?

Ramana: Do you not desire that in sleep? What goes wrong then?

Q: But I know I shall wake up!

Ramana: Yes, thought again! There is the preceding thought: 'I shall wake up.' Thoughts rule one's life. Freedom from thoughts is one's true nature: Bliss. Death is a thought and nothing else. One who thinks raises problems. Let the thinker say what happens to him in death. The real "I" is silent. One should not think, "I am this, I am not that." To say "this" or "that" is wrong. They are also limitations. I AM alone is true. Silence is "I."

The Art of Non-doing

The ability to rest in the Now is the foundation of sanity. Meditation is a state of Being and, simultaneously, the process of deepening the experience of the Now.

The combination of resting within the Now and a certain quality of attention will allow you to place yourself in the area of existing, where you actually precede the coming of thoughts.

The art of Being, the art of Non-doing is very subtle. Non-doing is not merely a lack of activity but an energy experience of stillness. This Non-doing is your presence, your very amness, the positive experience of being truly alive. ~Anadi

The Ultimate Aspect of The Dharma

There are many people who are more learned than I and more elevated in their wisdom. However, I have never made a separation between the spiritual and the worldly. If you understand the ultimate aspect of the dharma, this is the ultimate aspect of the world. And if you should cultivate the ultimate aspect of the world, this should be in harmony with the dharma. I am alone in presenting the tradition of thinking this way. ~From Chogyam Trungpa's unpublished diary, 1966.

The State of Meditation

Being and Awareness, third eye and Hara, sky and earth...they meet within You. The State of Meditation is a beautiful combination of inner stillness, motionlessness of Being and clarity of Awareness. If this clarity is missing, the State of Meditation is too dull; when the stillness of Being is missing, even if the clarity is there, the State of Meditation lacks certain essential depth and rootedness. The State of Meditation, as you see, is not a simple state, but a very rich inner movement within the Unmoved. ~Anadi

You are not, but THAT is you!

The intellectual conviction of being THAT does not actually help you become THAT.
When you understand this you put aside all your unverified beliefs and the adventure of discovery begins.

Where is the Gateless Gate?

Let us relax into Being. In Being attention has no horizontal direction but surrenders vertically into Non-doing, into Rest. When attention rests in an ordinary person, it becomes unconscious. When attention rests in meditation, it merges with Being - it is still conscious but in a state of rest. That is the meaning of Non-abiding.
In Buddhism they say that "the Great Mind has no abiding place." Where could it abide if nothing exists beyond its frontiers? We live presently in the realm of the Manifested. We are closed within the perception of time and space, like birds in a cage. The biggest riddle for all real seekers is: where is the way out, where is Beyond the cage? Where is the secret way to the Beyond, where is the unmanifested? How can one find the unmanifested if the only reality we experience is the manifested? Where is the Gateless Gate? The answer is not a concept but an experience. This experience is itself: Understanding... The Beyond is hidden within the Now. The Beyond is the essence of the Now - it is the Now itself! The Now in truth is not Here. It does not exist in time and space. That’s why, the Now is not the present moment. The present moment is the past already! The Now cannot be grasped but can be attained through conscious surrender. At that moment, we become received by the depth of the Now and we find ourselves on the Other Side, the other side of the Now, which is not Here. Everyone wonders how a Buddha can be recognized. Everyone is looking for some special signs, behaviors and powers... but Buddha cannot be recognized for his/her state is not Here, it is Beyond. “The beauty of his garden is invisible and ten thousands sages could not find him.” The only way to find the Buddha is to become one -- to disappear into the Beyond... ~Anadi

Thatata

What actually happens is the flow of Life.
Thatata means Suchness or Thusness.
Thatata is the way things are.
The natural law.

A Thatagata is someone who lives Thatata,
...who lives totally in the way things are.
...who lives in the fullness of this moment.
...who lives with total acceptance.

...a silent and blissful flower of love.

The sooner you are destined to understand this law of Thatata and apply it fully in your life, the sooner your separation and suffering will dissolve like dew drops in the morning sun.

Take the challenge

Resist any temptation to parrot the absolute truth and to deny the human reality of being embodied consciousness. The absolute truth is not your experiential truth; it is a sweet dream that lures unaware seekers into believing they are already free. Once you have decorated your ego with absolute concepts, it is challenging to admit that you do not know who you are. Take the challenge and discover your true nature by dissolving in silent awareness. ~Maitreya Ishwara

The One that is all there ever is

The entire world, and every living individual, is pervaded by a Transcendental Consciousness and Radiant Energy that is the single Identity and Ultimate Source, Sustainer, Mover, Transformer, and Destiny of every thing and every one. That is God, the Divine, the Real, the All-Pervading, Transcendental, Bliss-Full Ignorance-Radiance. ~Da Avabhasa

The witness-presence

We can speak about the forth dimension of consciousness. But we normally live in a very flat reality; there is no depth because the seer is not present to itself. It is only the awakening of the witness-presence that can expand our three dimensional perception into a panoramic awareness. ~Anadi Kristof

What Time Is It?

At this moment if you set the alarm to get up at 3:47 this morning and when the alarm rings and you get up and turn it off and say:
What time is it? You’d say:

Now. Now.
Where am l?
Here! Here!

Then go back to sleep.
Get up at 9:00 tomorrow. Where am I?
Here!
What time is it?
Now!

Try 4:32 three weeks from next Thurs.
By God
It is – there’s no getting away from it –
That’s the way it is
That’s the
Eternal present

You finally figure out that it’s only the clock that’s going around..
It’s doing its thing but you – you’re sitting
Here
Right Now
Always

A Philosopher Asks Buddha

A philosopher asked Buddha: "Without words, without silence, will you tell me the truth?" The Buddha sat quietly. The philosopher then bowed and thanked the Buddha, saying, "With your loving kindness I have cleared away my delusions and entered the true path." After the philosopher had gone, Ananda asked Buddha what the philosopher had attained. The Buddha commented, "A good horse runs even at the shadow of the whip."

Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody!

One day there is an important job to be done and Everybody is sure that Somebody will do it. Anybody could do it but Nobody does it. Somebody gets angry about that because it is Everybody's job. Everybody thinks that Anybody can do it but Nobody realizes that Everybody won't do it. It ends up that Everybody blames Somebody when Nobody does what Anybody could have done! ~Osho

Immersion in Silent Awareness

Awakening is the merger of an individual body-mind-soul with universal consciousness. Yet it is not mind that develops consciousness, but vice versa. Consciousness is the source of mind. For intellectually oriented seekers of truth, the danger of conceptual addiction is that it seduces the intellect into the exploration of infinite possibilities.

Habitual mental exploration prevents the immersion in silent awareness that is the only way to know the truth that cannot be spoken or conceptualised. ~Maitreya Ishwara

The sun has to rise in your death too!

WHY SHOULD THE POOR SUN RISE IN THE EVENING?
IS THE MORNING NOT ENOUGH?

The morning is perfectly beautiful, but not enough.
It is only the half, it is only the part. The sun has to rise in the evening too, then life is total. One has to rejoice not only in life, but in death too, then life is total. One has to rejoice not only in love, but in aloneness too, then the dance is complete.

That's why I say I have seen the sun rising in the evening: the circle is complete. The evening is the other side of the morning. If the sun rises only in the morning, then you will become attached to the morning, and when the evening comes you will not be able to say yes to it. And the evening is coming. If the morning has come, the evening is coming. If you were born, you will be dying. The sun has to rise in your death too.

You have to die like a Buddha with a song in the heart, with a yea-saying. You have to die like a Krishna -- still playing on his flute. You have to learn that peaks are beautiful, but so are valleys; and the darkes night also has a full moon in it.

That is the meaning of the sun rising in the evening. It has an immense significance, it has a great message for you. I am saying that life in all its colours is beautiful, that nothing bas to be denied, rejected; that nothing has to be destroyed; that nothing has to be renounced; that all has to be accepted in great joy, in great gratitude, and then the sun rises in the evening too. And the beauty of it is immense, because everybody knows thesun that rises in the morning, and very few know the sun that rises in the evening. The moment you can see the sun rising in the evening, you have become a Buddha. Then all is good. When all is good, then all is God.

Expectations

Q: How can I live up to my highest expectations?

A: You cannot. Because you can always have expectations higher than you can reach. There is no limit to the height of your expectations. So as long as you have expectations, you will feel inadequate. As long as you have expectations you will never be satisfied. But when you have no expectations, when all that is happening is accepted...when you accept that all that is happening, and know that all that is happening is exactly what you need in this moment, and you are open, and allowing, and being with this, then you will be content. So drop all expectations. Instead of dreaming for some special future, see this moment, see that which is real, here, now, and then go deeper and deeper into this moment. With no expectations, all is a gift, all is enjoyable, all is the highest touch with the Ultimate. This moment is the highest spiritual place there is. This moment is the hand of God. Be grateful that you have this moment, and this moment, and this moment... ~Umi

The spiritual path

To regain the inherent connection with the Light of Creation is the task of evolution. This evolution takes place in time. Time is moving within Timelessness and the timelessness is embraced by the Mystery, which is God. Now, within the dimension of time we create the spiritual path through which we wish to realize that which is beyond the field of time. The spiritual path bridges the state of ignorance or forgetfulness with the state of awakening or remembrance. The spiritual path ultimately is an illusion but this illusion is the Reality of human dimension and, therefore, must be respected. ~Anadi

Telling the TRUTH

Usually, telling the truth is very depressing, extremely depressing. If you mix the truth with a bit of lying, if you add a bit of salt and pepper by lying, you find it more delicious !
....On the whole, we are not discussing what you could be or what you should be, but what you are. People have never heard that type of truth before. There's always a tinge of salesmanship involved with telling the truth: "That is what you are, of course -- but we can help you!" Instead, we say: " You are NOT going to be saved. You have your problems --that's fine, everybody knows that. Let it be that way. If you could improvise something along with that, maybe that would be good -- but at the same time, one has to stay with one's own problems." That is the only demand we can make at this point. It is not particularly a money-making venture, but more of a lightening of the air, so to speak. ~Chogyam Trungpa

Water is fluid, soft, and yielding.
But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield.
As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard.
This is another paradox: what is soft is strong.
