From Dharan to Dhyan

Relaxation is half of the art of meditation; the other half is awareness. Awareness is not concentration. Awareness is open and all-inclusive; concentration is single pointed and focused. Initially however, awareness is developed by diligently practicing concentration.
Dear friends, start today. Sit silently with a straight spine twice a day for as long as you feel. Be aware of the movement of your breath in the belly. When you notice the mind wandering, gently return your attention to the movement of breath in the belly. This is one of the best meditation techniques for the first stage of developing awareness.~Maitreya
