I am only indicating, touching, giving a taste, sharing, a glimpse of This, because the Truth cannot be written about. Love cannot be written about. Anything said about the truth, about love is not the Truth, is not Love. Anything said about the Truth puts the Truth in a box. Anything said about Love puts Love in a box. Love and Truth cannot be confined by words. The love that is talked about is not Love. So take in these words without thinking, without understanding. Feel and absorb. Because this is only a menu, and you will never satisfy your hunger by eating the menu. The banquet is here. The banquet is ready for you. Simply be available. Feel and be open to the unknowable. It can help you avoid most of the traps for your ego. Transcending unconscious, irrational and limiting beliefs opens you to self-enquiry. Understanding that surrender is the only real solution brings a divine gracefulness to your life.
Yet all of this is secondary to meditation: sitting silently doing nothing is the most effective method of spiritual growth. By remaining unoccupied and alert to your inner world, many miracles happen. You become aware of the subtle energies in the depth of your being. You contact, expose and heal the old wounds of early life and past lives. You find freedom from the thought processes that limit your life energy, and eventually you discover what you really are: silent blissful awareness, beyond all trace of subtle thought.

With energetic support of a living buddha, your spiritual growth is significantly intensified and accelerated.
This is the main reason why buddhas will always be needed. Surrender is only to the One, but without the energetic support of a living buddha the journey is more difficult and takes much longer.
Teachers in the first stage of enlightenment are actually bodhisattvas; they do not have the full capacity to absorb your negativity and turn it into nectar. But they can assist you in many ways. Bodhisattvas have soft sweet energy and they are closer to you than buddhas.

The word buddha refers to both second stage and fully enlightened people from all traditions. They often share primarily with silent meditation and love. Awareness and acceptance are usually their main teachings.
There are about seventy buddhas in the second stage of enlightenment who are very helpful to meditators. They are mostly male and have powerful third eyes. They can work effectively using silent awareness.
Osho was fully enlightened but didn't sit silently with his people much. He always said they weren't ready. He talked more about silence than almost anyone and used his energy to share his vision of Zorba the Buddha.

Now the moment of truth is upon us; the time for silent meditation has arrived. Prepare yourself to face the light by any method that suits you. Yoga, martial arts, therapy, rebirthing and many new-age practices are perfect. Dance, sing and celebrate. Meet life with an open heart. Make spiritual growth your priority and allow the flow of life to carry you deeper and deeper inside with as few unverified beliefs as possible. Don't take spiritual growth too seriously.

Beloveds, reading and understanding this book helps tremendously; it puts you on solid ground. Yet for most seekers of truth, only silent surrender in the divine light of consciousness brings freedom.
When you are ready for rapid spiritual growth, find an enlightened friend to meditate with. Buddhas and bodhisattvas are channels for divine light. Sitting silently with them in meditation helps tremendously; they have the capacity to absorb your negativity and transform it into light and love.

An excerpt from Unity - The Dawn of Conscious Civilization by Maitreya Ishwara

Osho

You are too full of gibberish, you know too much. It begins with that awareness because the content of the moment is what is arising now. So, we are aware of the content of the moment—the physical attributes, the feelings, and the thoughts that are arising in the moment. But the more we are attuned to what is arising in the moment, the more time slows down as we become more present to the moment. And when we become more present to the moment, we begin to recognize the now-ness itself, which turns out to be the presence that is present to the moment.

So, my presence is the now-ness of the moment; they are not separate. It is not that my presence is present in the now of the moment; the presence is the now of the moment. That is how we actually know what presence is. In the practice of being where we are, it becomes clear that to be ourselves, to be real, we need to be in the present moment. We need to attend to the moment, we need to embrace and be completely aware, immediately in touch, with the moment. This immediate in-touchness with the moment is the in-touchness with the now-ness of the moment, which is the same thing as the Being of our presence. —A.H. Your subjectivity is completely engulfed by the dreams. It is just like when you go to see a movie. You know well that there is nothing on the screen. Still, you get deceived. When the movie starts, the screen is full of pictures. Just a play of light and darkness, just very subtle dream-stuff, and you are lost. You forget yourself. You forget the spectator, you become part of it. Sometimes you cry and weep when some tragedy happens on the screen. You follow all that is happening on the screen. There is nothing happening, but for two hours, you are completely lost. Buddha is one who becomes awakened in a movie house and suddenly shakes himself and understands that there is nothing -- only a wide screen covered with white and black shades; just covered with false, dreamlike stuff. He laughs -- not at what he is seeing; he laughs at himself -- and comes back home.

The virgin birth of Jesus symbolizes that there is something born within you that does not come about through the union of opposites—something that is not of the dualistic world. They accepted to live in forgetfulness. But with this agreement, they have died.
A person who is not free from the mind is a ghost and not a being. Freedom from the mind is your dignity as the divine being, which you are. A being has to be born. It is not born from another, it is born from within. When your are born in the body, it means that the body becomes pregnant with the Soul. The Soul is not released until you give birth to her. One day she will be born.

Becoming Human

Once a man came to me and spoke for hours about
“His great visions of God” he felt he was having.

He asked me for confirmation, saying,
“Are these wondrous dreams true?”

I replied, “How many goats do you have?”

He looked surprised and said,
“I am speaking of sublime visions
And you ask
About goats!”

And I spoke again saying,
“Yes brother, how many do you have?”

“Well, Hafiz, I have sixty-two.”

“And how many wives?”
Again he looked surprised, then said,
“Four.”

“How many rosebushes in your garden,

How many children,
Are you parents still alive,
Do you feed the birds in winter?”

And to all he answered.

Then I said,
“You asked me if your visions were true,
I would say that they were if they make you become
More human,

More kind to every creature and plant
That you know.”

~ Hafiz

things are like this now!

Anyone who says they know anything is really saying they don’t know the only thing. The best consultants, the best bank loans, and the best insurance policies cannot save you. Eventually you must realize that you have to do something, rather than depending on technology, financial help, your smartness or good thinking of any kind -- none of which will save you. That may seem like the dark truth, but it is the real truth. In the Buddhist tradition, this is called the vajra truth, the diamond truth, the truth you cannot avoid or destroy.
We cannot avoid our lives at all. We have to face our lives, young or old, rich or poor. Whatever happens, we cannot save ourselves from our lives at all. We have to face the eventual truth -- not even the eventual truth but the real truth of our lives. We are here; therefore, we have to learn how to go forward with our lives. This truth is what we call the wisdom of Shambhala. ~Chogyam Trungpa

All the Buddhas of all the ages have been telling you a very simple fact: Be -- don't try to become. The first innocence is ignorant, the second innocence is luminous. The first innocence is a kind of sleep, the second innocence is an awakening. The first can be lost, the second cannot be lost. The first has to go -- in the very nature of it, it cannot be eternal; but the second, once it comes, remains forever -- it is eternal.
The first innocence in Christian terms is called Adam. And the second innocence is called Christ. And Jesus is just in-between the two. Jesus is the bridge between the first innocence and the second innocence. Hindus call the second innocence 'rebirth': one becomes twice-born, DWIJA. And that's what Jesus also said to one of the famous professors and theologians of his time, Nicodemus: Unless you are born again, you will not attain to the kingdom of God.
<br The human mind is addicted to concepts and dreams and cannot know the true nature of consciousness.
The lower cannot know the higher. *

The human mind is programed to cling tenaciously to dreams, words and concepts. ~* Maitreya

So every concept, every belief, every idea — is just that, an idea. And then we have an idea of what is an idea, or what it is like not to have an idea.

We think, we presume, that there are certain certainties. And there are not any. None. Can you get that? — we cannot be certain of anything at all. Nothing. All is an illusion!

We presume that if we banged our head then that is a reality. There is a head, there was something we banged into, and we know what our physical experience is. But we don't. The whole experience may be just something that does not have a valid explanation.

All these texts, sermons, teachings, including what you are reading now, is not the truth. The few people that have awoken to another level have tried to share with us their experience of their non-experience, but we can only experience the non-experience through experience. Which is not non-experience.

As Lao Tzu is quoted as saying, "The truth cannot be said. If it is said it is not the truth." Perhaps, thats why the very awakened ones go into isolation and seclusion.

"Those who speak do not know, those who know are silent,
I heard this saying from the old gentleman (Lao Tzu).
If the old gentleman was one who knew the Way,
Why did he feel able to write five thousand words?" as Bo Juyi describes...

So don’t take anything too seriously.

.
..
...

The above does not say it — because it cannot be said!!

- posted to Mahamudra

The Vastness of Truth

I do not wish to give you more words.

You have enough.

The blank white page is all that needs to be seen.
But you cannot see it, you keep looking for something else.
Involved with so many pictures, words and stories.

Reading issues and books on enlightenment to help free yourself
from your mind is like eating doughnuts to lose weight.

You cannot get it with the mind.

For it is your identification with the mind
that keeps you from being content.

It is in the absence of who you think you are
where there is perfect contentment.

In meditation, you begin to move beyond
the experience of yourself as the body and mind,
separate from everything else.

The contraction of you begins to dissolve,
and there is unconditional, nurturing peace.
No me or you, just the infinite ocean of consciousness.

As an ego, you live as a resistance to this peace.
You fight it in every moment.

In complete surrender in the moment, you live as love itself.

The only way out is In

You are programmed to desire pleasure and to avoid pain.
Unfortunately, they go together. Your journey of self-discovery is a search for truth, bliss, love and freedom from suffering.
All unenlightened people suffer from separation. All enlightened people enjoy Wholeness.
The journey is from separation to Wholeness. Your separation has a beginning and an end. In between there are perhaps a hundred lives. So Manoor was stoned to death and as they were stoning him, he was laughing, he was so full of joy. Someone asked him, 'Why are you laughing?' Mansoor answered, 'Because you believe that you are killing Mansoor, but Mansoor cannot die. Mansoor is not this body. This is such a joke!
